Hey Natives,

We would like to thank everyone for attending our very first Natives Gather Town Hall!

In case you missed it, here’s a quick recap on the things we’ve discussed!

Updates on Development

King Cosmic (Host) : We’ll move to something more juicy that the community is excited to know more about! Vince, can you share with us what’s under the hood and what the dev team is working on right now?

Vince (Founder) : At this time, the devs are working on optimizing loading speed & achieving a smoother UI/UX experience overall. We plan to achieve this through Land splicing, which is essentially segregating the elements on the maps making the size of each element smaller, aiming for a 5 second or less load time. These optimisations are essential for future scalability and implementation of P2E elements into Oasis.

Aside from that we’ve also noticed a higher demand for in-game quests, and that the team developed a robust quest system which many of you first experienced during the “Save Christmas’’ event. The back-end Dashboard infrastructure was also set up for the marketing team for greater flexibility, allowing greater ease for creating quests & tasks for the Natives.

Development of this infrastructure led to an innovation known as Gamified Whitelisting, the first of its kind in the crypto space. Natives will be able to complete a quest in the Oasis and get instantly whitelisted for an IDO or NFT mint. This has already been put into practice in our previous “Save Christmas” and current “Lunar New Year” events. We see great potential in this innovation as we head towards being an incubator for up and coming projects.

In terms of UI, we are working on gamifying the core functions in Oasis. Visualise with me, in the coming future the Natives will be able to enter buildings which have their own specific functions. For example a building dedicated to staking/farming, where users can see their own personal plots of ‘crops’ and interact with an NPC to carry out their farming and staking. We believe that this approach would provide greater immersion in the Oasis metaverse.

That being said, during this brief bear market reworking these functions are a key focus to ensure that we move away from traditional protocols to provide a more gamified experience.

Updates on P2E

King Cosmic (Host) : As the Game Director, do you have updates to share with the community?

Haliday (Game Director) : Yeah, at the moment we’re currently scaling our game engine to support our upcoming P2E elements as mentioned by Vince. In the not too distant future we will be releasing a variety of minigames with P2E elements (Rewards). Our goal behind the development of these various minigames, the goal is to create a game that suits everyone. We are currently running simulations and working on the mechanics of the P2E to ensure it works well and is sustainable to the ecosystem.

As you guys are the first of the Natives that watched the trailer, there are actually quite a lot of things we have installed for our Natives. Without revealing too much, make sure you guys stay tuned to what’s coming next and the Oasis Land Sale.

What Can Natives look forward to?

  • Gamification of core functions ( Launchpad, Oasis Staking, Agora Marketplace, etc.)
  • The Oasis Land Sale
  • Better UI/UX Experience
  • Gamified Whitelisting For IDOs & NFT Mints
  • P2E Minigames
  • Upcoming IDOs

Please stay tuned for more updates in the future. If you have any questions, please reach out to us using any of the platforms below.
