ICYMI: ProjectOasis X Mogul Productions

We had a great Twitter Spaces session with our partner from the Blockchain Metaverse Alliance, Mogul Productions on 12th January 12 AM UTC.
The conversations we had was insightful and we would like to share some highlights with all of our Natives!
In case you missed it here are some of the highlights :
Highlight 1
FS from ProjectOasis: Given the current situation — how long do you think it will take BSC to catch up to ETH in terms of volume on the NFT marketplaces?
Earl: In my opinion it’s going to take the token utility to really get to that next level. With the cost savings on BSC, then the cross chain compatibility to ETH you don’t really lose anything. However to get the masses on board you’re going to have to make it simpler to use. It’s not the thing, it’s the marketing and education around “the thing”. This is where technical ingenuity comes in, and we have to utilize the NFT’s for more than just a holding / temporary storage of another token. There are pieces of the puzzle coming down the pipe where in the future NFT’s will allow access to private content like music, behind the scenes pieces and other NFT holder only content bits that truly make it interesting. Even though the actors in the Matrix didn’t understand NFT’s — the Matrix launch still crashed NFTY because people were interested in it. So getting the balance of utility and ease of use is the key.
Jake: Obviously ETH still has a big network advantage, although there is more development being built on top of BSC every day. For new people coming into the Crypto space, we want to minimize the friction and barriers of entry and a great way to do this is by having low transaction fees. A lot of the emphasis also will be on independent NFT marketplaces building on top of BSC such as Mogul, to help create an environment where big celebrities, films and brands are drawn too to release their NFTs.
Highlight 2
Earl: What are you most interested in regards to the Metaverse, the Game for Project Oasis and the future roll outs of 2022?
FS: The play to earn, and the ability to either stake tokens into DeFi, or into the game itself. I’m not actually sure which will have more opportunity but the latter will have huge implications in game, and will allow people to explore the world deeper.

FS from ProjectOasis: What do you think about bridging NFTs and the work being done by the likes of Multichain?
Jake: We actually had Multichain on our Discord AMA a couple of weeks ago and they talked about a lot of the development which is taking place to help bridge NFT assets cross-chain, this is definitely an area of focus for Mogul and we are working on the best way forward to bring this to our community. Ultimately we want NFT owners to have assets that are as diverse as possible… This is a great step forward to helping achieve that goal.
Earl: You’re getting the best of both worlds. The cost savings on BSC is just one thing — however the ability to get utility in the long run will be the most important.
